A New Beautiful Year

I love January! It is all about new beginnings! We start the year with new committed ideas…full of dedication of fulfillment. As we set our health and beauty resolutions, we can feel confident in the Viviane Woodard research staff to give us the latest technology in purity and performance of our products.
Winter cold, stress and Holiday self-abuse takes it toll on the skin. Now it is time to heal and repair! And true to form, Viviane Woodard's January special has just the right group of skincare products - The Perfect Skin System is the answer to our skincare resolution. I'd like to focus on two of the superb products from this program this month.
The AgeLess Skin Rejuvenating System…this is the seven day, once-a-month renewal treatment that creates the foundation for a younger, healthier looking perfect skin. It is AMAZING! And when you faithfully use it, you will see these amazing results in your more youthful-looking, softer and smoother face! So start off the New Year with your AgeLess program and stay committed to it each and every month!
Hydra Moist…I call it the "Miracle Water!" Anti-Aging, Anti-Oxidant and Moisture Enhancer. After applying your Moistrio moisturizer, massage this trio of ultra-performing anti-oxidants, vitamins and hydrating ingredients into your skin. They are formulated to reach the deepest layers of the skin to fight against damaging free-radicals and bring vital oxygen to the cell nucleus. So, don't delay. Make Hydra Moist part of your daily skincare ritual to ensure your thirsty skin is receiving this unsurpassed moisture treatment.
The Flush of Blush
In today's competitive professional market, the scrubbed and healthy look is no longer enough. You need a certain amount of makeup, yet…it must not look like it took two hours to apply. The look? A well-groomed sophistication. Whatever you do, your eyes and mouth must be there. But this time, you're not hiding your face…just a subtle and natural way of affirming its beautiful and confident existence.
This makeup tip will brighten up the January spirits and your subtle beauty.
The purpose of blush is to give a healthy glow to the skin. However, it can also be used for contouring effects. I have always felt that your blush tells the story of how you are feeling inside. Natural, playful & sexy, sophisticated or trendy & daring! I LOVE this product!
Application of Viviane Woodard Brush 'N Blush or Crème Blush should have no visible lines of demarcation.
Step #1. Select the right color for your skin tone.

Fair - warm nudes or pink/peach with a touch of brown works well on most people. i.e. Rosewood, Rose Sand or Soft Mauve Blush…Creamy Rosewood crème.

Medium - fairer skin and brown hair do well with medium light bright colors. For the pinker skin tones, avoid dark and muddy hues. Try Rose Sand, Toasted Peach, Soft Mauve or Creamy Rosewood or Brandywine.

Olive - rich and intense will counterbalance the olive cast…Creamy Mahogany, Rose Sand, Soft Mauve, Toasted Peach or natural Tea Rose.

Step #2. Select the right tool, texture and "mood" for your application.
Natural - a large powder brush to swoosh on a "just exercised" natural flush.
Playful & Sexy - a big brush softly over the apple of the cheek up to the temple.
Sophisticated - a medium blush brush carefully applied to the cheekbone area. Place the majority of color slightly under the cheekbone beginning at the ear toward the center. Stay two finger-widths away from the nose. Blend up and softly over the bone, the back up into the hairline and temple.
Trendy & Daring - the latest looks in fashion…be sure to be "age appropriate"!
A word about Crème Blush…it has a natural look with a dewiness to its appearance. I find the best application is by using the two middle fingers. Take a small amount of color and dab or "stipple" the color directly onto the cheekbone. Stroke and blend upward into the hairline. Most skin tones can wear all three of the Viviane Woodard Crème Blush shades….depending on your wardrobe, lip and eye colors…and application. Experiment!
Corrective Blush Techniques

The Wide Face. A narrowing effect is created by shortening the space between the nose and the side of the face. Begin by placing blusher centered under your eye and then blend back toward the ear.

The Narrow Face. A widening effect is created by broadening the space between the nose and the sides of the face. Place blusher strategically on the high point of the cheekbone just under the outer eye area, and blend horizontally straight back into the hairline.

The Final Touch
For an overall, healthy, natural, balanced appearance, you may wish to apply a trace of powder blush to the forehead, chin, tip of the nose and front of the neck.
