FAQ and Other information

The conference begins Sunday, October 24, doors open at 8:00 AM. We will have a First Time Attendee Orientation 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM followed by the Annual "Joe Woodard Brunch" (separate registration required) 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM. Breakout sessions will begin at Noon and Main Stage will be 4:00 - 5:40 PM.

The conference will end on Wednesday, October 27 at 6 PM.

Registration for the conference is $795

The 2021 Scaling New Heights Conference will be at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

For Scaling New Heights 2021 in Ft. Worth Texas, we are taking the following safety measures related to COVID-19:

  • Social Distancing: We expanded our physical footprint at the conference center to provide social distancing in all breakout sessions, pre-function spaces, main stage sessions, and our registration desk.
  • Larger Breakout Rooms: We expanded the size of every breakout room to allow for social distancing and moved some breakout sessions into rooms that have taller ceilings to improve airflow in the room.
  • Table Sanitization: We will sanitize tabletops in breakout rooms, the main stage arena, and the exhibit hall between sessions.
  • Temperature Checks: We will perform daily, mandatory temperature checks of all conference participants.
  • Additional Seating Options for Dining: We have added small standing tables as an option for people who wish to eat by themselves or with no more than one additional diner.
  • Onsite Testing: We have contracted with a company to provide onsite rapid COVID testing for attendees choosing to be tested while at the conference or prior to departing at the end of the conference. This testing is covered by most insurance providers.
  • Hand Sanitizer: We will provide hand sanitizer and/or sanitization stations throughout the convention center.

Note: Masks are strongly encouraged, but not required.

Note: We may add safety measures/policies between now and the conference. We will make the final decision on what safety measures we will deploy based on the most recent data and most current guidance/requirements from federal and state authorities. We will update this FAQ regularly and will also communicate updated guidance to all registrants closer to the date of the event.

Scaling New Heights 2021 will only be held in person in Fort Worth, TX October 24-27.

Attendees can fly into either Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport or Dallas-Love Field.  

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is approximately a 25 minute drive to the convention center and surrounding hotels.  

Dallas-Love Field is approximately a 45 minute drive to the convention center and surrounding hotels.  

Arriving at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport attendees can: 

  • Use Uber/Lyft
  • Taxi Service
  • Trinity Railway Express (Use station in Terminal B and take to Fort Worth Central Station.  From the Fort Worth Central Station, take the Dash bus to your hotel)

From Dallas-Love Field attendees can: 

  • Use Uber/Lyft
  • Taxi Service

The Trinity Metro TEXRail is a 27-mile commuter rail line that extends from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport’s Terminal B to downtown Fort Worth. A ticket is only $2.50 for a single ride or $5 for a day pass. The $5 option is good for all rail and bus services in Tarrant County.

Yes. You can earn up to 30 hours of CPE.

You are not committed to attending only one track and, in fact, we encourage you to select classes from the entire schedule that best serve your training needs. We do request you register for each breakout session through the conference app which gives us the ability to prepare each breakout room for the appropriate number of attendees. The conference app is for registered attendees only and is will be available on August 16th.

Your registration may not be transferred after 9/18/2021. We are no longer transferring registration between accountants and bookkeepers. 

Scaling New Heights is refundable through 5/31/2021 with the $50 administrative fee waived. After 5/31/21, the registration is not refundable.

Yes.  A luggage check station will be set up in the convention center on Wednesday, October 27 beginning at 6:30 am.  Feel free to bring your luggage and check it in so you do not have to worry with getting it from your hotel.  This service is free.  

We will have Covid-19 testing available at the convention center for any attendees who wish to be tested during the four days of the conference.  This will be a rapid antigen test.  The cost for the test is $90 and the testing company does accept insurance plans.  

Please note:  We will not require a Covid test be done in order to attend the conference.  

Buses are running to and from the convention center from 6pm -11pm.
