About Woodard Summit 2026

Summit Thumbnail

November 4-7, 2026 - Scottsdale, Arizona

Woodard Summit is a three-day, workshop-style, intensive practice strategy planning experience through which you collaborate with your peers, generate intentionality for your practice, and engage with coaches, thought leaders and subject matter experts.

These three days in Scottsdale offer you the opportunity to escape from your daily demands and embark on a journey of authenticity, intentionality, vulnerability, and connection. By the end of Summit, you will have defined solid objectives for 2027, created a strategic plan with milestones and timelines, and defined clear actions for you and your team (if you have one) to activate on.

Where opportunities, strengths and aspirations meet, you’ll identify and map out your most attainable goals & objectives.

Identify and Drive High-Impact Outcomes in Your Practice

During Woodard Summit you will identify and prioritize the significant developments that need to take place in your practice over the coming year, pressure test your priorities, and design an actionable strategy to affect change. Attend one of the following workshops to drive outcomes in your practice.

Practice-Wide Strategy Workshop

During this workshop, you will build a specific, actionable practice-wide strategy to strengthen your practice in any or all the 7 areas of our Ideal Practice Model™: Brand, Clients, Services, Technology, Processes, Engagements, and Teams.

You will define multiple aspirations that, though the planning process, will be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time bound (S.M.A.R.T.).

This workshop is best for practices that want a comprehensive plan to manage with intentionality over the coming year.

No prior planning experience is required.

Outcome: You leave with a specific practice playbook for the coming year, built from your practice’s unique strengths and opportunities.

Pricing Strategy Workshop

During this workshop you will develop a documented pricing strategy for the coming year, built specifically for your practice.

Thursday morning opens with a crash course on core pricing concepts and vocabulary, so every attendee starts the planning process on the same footing.

You will start from a single aspiration: to deploy a value pricing model across your firm.

We will work through the building blocks that every practice needs in its pricing strategy:

  • Setting service offerings by tier

  • Evaluating pricing on existing clients

  • Key targets related to revenue

From there you will expand your plan to include the building blocks and specific deliverables that apply to the goals and management needs of your practice.

This workshop is for any practice that seeks to generate significant increases in profitability over the coming year.

Outcome: You leave with a documented pricing strategy for the coming year, including your service tiers, pricing targets, and a plan for applying your model across your client base.

AI Strategy Workshop

AI is changing the accounting, bookkeeping and tax professions. However, few practices have a documented plan for deploying AI, and the pace and scope of change make it hard to know where to begin, let alone how to keep up. This AI Strategy Workshop closes that gap.

Thursday morning opens with a crash course on core AI concepts and vocabulary, so every attendee starts the planning process on from the same footing.

You will start from a single proven aspiration: to develop a strategy to deploy AI across your firm.

You'll work through the foundational building blocks every practice needs to deploy AI:

  • Governance

  • Data security & Privacy

  • Technology vetting

  • Economics

  • Training

From there, you'll identify the tasks and processes already in your practice that you can improve with AI, like drafting proposals and engagement letters, performing scope analyses, measuring team capacity, etc. Finally, you will determine the specific deliverables that turn your strategic plan into action.

This workshop is for any practice ready to lean in heavily with AI over the coming year to generate increased efficiencies and effectiveness. No prior AI experience is required.

Outcome: You leave with a specific AI playbook for the coming year, built from your practice’s unique strengths and opportunities.

Optional Mindset Workshop

Wednesday from 1:00-5:00 PM

Before stepping into a new opportunity, the greatest resistance can often come from within ourselves. This interactive workshop focuses on what we can control: our thoughts, choices, and actions. It will challenge you to confront the assumptions and fears that hinder progress. Bring your mental hard hat and come prepared to participate.

This is a construction site, not an observation deck. Everyone will pick up a tool and get to work. Rather than accepting the “Terror Wall” you have mentally constructed, we will identify the thoughts holding it in place and begin breaking through it. Through reflection, practical exercises, and group discussion, you will take ownership of your mindset and continue the rest of Woodard Summit with renewed confidence, clarity, and purpose.
