Scaling New Heights 2026 Training

Scaling New Heights offers over 100 unique training sessions focused on advancing your practice, pricing to your value, maximizing technologies, and developing new, billable skills.

CONFERENCE AREAS OF FOCUS

artificial intelligence

Our artificial intelligence programming goes beyond the basics to show how accountants can apply AI solutions within the work of accounting and bookkeeping. You’ll learn about the leading generative AI solutions on the market, prompting skills (basic to advanced), how to build agents using GPTs, and how to build a consistent AI voice for client-ready deliverables.

Sessions also address security and privacy risks, AI-enabled SOPs and scalable workflows, and developing an operations-focused AI strategy, including contingency planning using apps and automation.

AI training at the conference will also address accounting-specific AI solutions designed for bookkeeping, tax preparation and Client Advisory Services (CAS); tools and workflows that support cleaner data, faster review, stronger advisory insights, and more consistent client delivery.

In-depth training on General Ledger Solutions

These sessions are designed for firms that want stronger systems, cleaner data, and better client outcomes across today’s leading General Ledger solutions. Sessions at the conference focus on QuickBooks Online, Intuit Enterprise Suite, Xero, Zoho, Sage Intacct, and a growing set of native-AI GL solutions like Digits, Puzzle, and Kick. The conference will prepare you to make informed choices for you and your clients.

Specific to QuickBooks and Xero (two popular General Ledger solutions), sessions explore QuickBooks Online AI Banking and how to use AI agents inside QuickBooks to streamline key workflows while staying in control of accuracy and risk. You’ll also see Xero ecosystem training, designed to give you practical ways to deliver better reporting, forecasting, and decision support.

Practice Advancement and Professional Development

This program area at the conference provides practical, proven practice and professional strategies and skills, presented mostly by practicing accountants. Sessions at the conference will focus on branding, engendering client trust, increasing practice visibility (e.g., through SEO and GEO strategies), pricing strategies, engagement handling, staffing, defining your ideal client profile, building your ideal client base, developing strong teams and strong practice culture.

Sessions also cover operational excellence, focusing on topics like client onboarding, process development, and process automation. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, sessions at the conference focus on advisory skills that increase client impacts (and pricing for these clients), including roadmaps for upskilling not just hard skills but critical soft skills like critical thinking and confident communication.

Tax Advisory and Representation

The tax training program at Scaling New Heights is designed to prepare you to deliver higher-value tax work in a world where there is increased pressure from 1040 “shops” and where the IRS is moving faster and getting more automated. Specifically, sessions will address how the IRS is using AI, what automated enforcement can look like, and how to respond when “the bot” comes knocking.

Sessions also focus on building smarter income tax prep workflows, with automation layers, that improve client experience, protect clients during audits, and strengthen documentation and best practices through practical scenarios and real-life case studies.

You’ll also explore how Tax Advisory and Client Advisory Services (CAS) can work better together to create stronger client relationships, break the tax-season burnout cycle, and scale your tax practice with the right mix of process, technology, and service design.
